Zachary Burk

Zachary Jacob Burk was born to Randy and Ann Burk on November 12, 2002, in Chadron, Nebraska. He passed away in the comfort of his bedroom on February 8, 2018.
Zachary was a very special child who from the day he was born took his family on an unexpected journey, teaching us about unconditional love, patience, resilience, and what it truly means to accept everyone, despite their differences and challenges. He was our sweet boy, deeply loved, who brought true joy into our lives. Zach had a smile that would light up his face, a giggle that would light up a room, and a laugh that would light up your heart. Although Zach was unable to communicate in the traditional sense, he was able to touch the souls of so many of the people he met.
Zachary is survived and forever loved by his parents, Randy and Ann Burk; brother, Alec; grandmother, Phyllis Burk; uncles Rick (Sheri) Burk, John Navratil, David (Akxeeta) Navratil; aunts Paula (Mike) Glenn, Wendy (P. Kevin) Donahue; cousins Emma Navratil, Peyton and Kellen Glenn, Nora Donahue; and special friend and caregiver Kim (Devin) Davis.
Zachary was preceded in death by his grandfather Larry Burk, and grandparents John and Pat Navratil.
