Wilma Hastings Kleensang

Wilma (Hastings) Kleensang, 87, of Holdrege, Nebraska, passed away on Wednesday April 13, 2016, in Lincoln, Nebraska at The Monarch Care Facility.
Wilma was born July 12, 1928, in Smithfield, Nebraska, to Clarence and Lydia (Renken) Bredenkamp.
Wilma attended rural school in Box Butte County as a youngster. Her family moved to the "Mirage Flats" area in 1943. She attended & graduated from Hay Springs High School.
Wilma & Lloyd Hastings were united in marriage in a double ring wedding with her sister Portia & brother-in-law Don Hermansen on November 2, 1947. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1999.
Blessed to this union were four children, Gene (Eugene), Judy, Gary and Larry.
Wilma was united in marriage with Virgil Kleensang on April 30, 2004. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2012.
Wilma enjoyed being a ranch wife along with her yardwork, gardening & flowers. Some of her very favorite flowers were the bearded Iris & sunflowers. She also enjoyed reading her Bible & listening to Bible readings.
Besides her husband, Wilma was preceded in death by her daughter, Judy Gonzales, brothers; Boyd & Bob Bredenkamp and daughter-in-law Becky Hastings.
Survivors include her sons; Gene & wife Jeanne of Scottsbluff, Gary & wife Cindy of Holdrege and Larry & wife Cori of Cheyenne, WY. Eight grandchildren; Jeffery Hastings, Amy Wilson, Jamie Hastings, Garry Hastings, Barry Hastings, Kimberley O'Connor, Dustin Gonzales and Justin Gonzales & seventeen great-grandchildren. Also surviving her are two sisters, Portia Hermansen and Delores & husband Don Jorgensen and brother Barton Bredenkamp, 16 nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.
Visitation will be held Monday April 18, 2016, from 5 to 7 pm at the Zion Lutheran Church in Hay Springs, NE. Graveside services will be held Tuesday April 19, 2016, at 11:00 am at Fairview Cemetery, in Rushville, NE.
