Tim Gillett

Timothy (Tim) Andrew Gillett, 45, of Gering, Nebraska passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 1 at Scottsbluff Memorial Hospital.

Tim was born May 18, 1978, in Chadron, Nebraska to Terry and Phyllis Gillett. He attended elementary school in district 46 and 7 in Sioux County. After he graduated from Sioux County High School in 1997, he went on to study for a year at LaGrange School of the Bible in LaGrange, Wyoming.

He enjoyed numerous vocations including helping on his parent’s ranch, security work, customer service representative and pilot car driver.

Tim will be greatly missed for his enjoyment of riding the four-wheeler- checking and working cattle, love of conversing with others, his passion for Nebraska and Green Bay Packer football and playing pitch with his family. He also enjoyed working with the volunteer fire department wherever he was living. 

Tim is preceded in death by grandparents Frank and Eileen Robinson, Rowland and Harriett Gillett, sisters Kelly and Jodi, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his parents, Terry and Phyllis Gillett, sister Shelly (Dan) Caskey, nieces Rachel Caskey, Bethany (Jake) DeWitt, Katie Caskey, nephew Caleb Caskey and grandniece Quinn DeWitt.

Memorials may be given to Harrison Bible Church or the Harrison Volunteer Fire Department in Tim’s memory.

Funeral service will be Monday, November 6 at 10 o’clock, Harrison Bible Church, Harrison, NE
