Ted Winkelman

Theodore (Ted) Leroy Winkelman Sr. age 75 passed away on 01/15/2018. He was born on 12/29/2942 to parents Theodore J. and Vlasta (Tlustos) Winkelman, and raised on a farm southwest of Oelrichs, SD. The family moved to Chadron, NE when his dad became ill. He graduated high school at Chadron High. Ted married Bonnie on February 1, 1965, and they were blessed with a son on May 12, 1968. They followed their dream and made their home on property off the Table Road, southwest of Chadron, NE.
Ted was self-employed, installing flooring for many years in Chadron and surrounding areas. He passed the knowledge of the trade off to his son before retiring in 2001. Ted was a social butterfly, never knowing anyone to be a stranger. He had a good since of humor, was known for pulling pranks and weaving a joke into every conversation. Ted shared his passion for hunting and gun enthusiasm with son and grandson. He was an avid fan of the Huskers football team.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, and many close friends.
Ted is survived by wife Bonnie (Britton), Son Ted Jr. and his wife Janelle, and grandson Austin Lang.
