Stuart Dudley Hardin, 59, was born to Kenneth and Sharon (Elwood) Hardin on April 11, 1966 in Gordon, Nebraska. Stuart passed away in his home on April 22nd, 2025 surrounded by family.
He grew up in Gordon, Nebraska with his parents and sister. From the very beginning, Stuart showed a passion for being outdoors. He spent many days hunting, fishing, and doing anything he could with his dad.
Stuart graduated from Gordon High School in 1984 and began his career by attending trade school for Gunsmithing. On July 11, 1987, he married Shelly Doyle and they moved into his childhood home by late 1988. Here they raised four children together and he became a key member of the community with his Locksmithing business, Panhandle Sales and Service.
Stuart passed on this love for the outdoors to all his children through many hunting and fishing trips. They also spent many summers looking for morels and picnicking as a family at “Hardin Park” out on the Niobrara River. His granddaughter, MacKenna, loved spending time with him walking to the windmill and dancing to their favorite song “Sunglasses at Night.”
