Shirley Harding

Shirley Harding was born in Paige, North Dakota on July 8, 1931 to Mary and Arthur Stringer. She grew up on the family from near Tower City, North Dakota. She attended school in Tower City and graduated from Tower City High School in 1949. She met and married Fernan Martin in1951. From this union three children were born, Mike, Audrey, and Rebecca. During this time Shirley worked in Valley City, North Dakota in retail while raising her three children. In 1967 the union dissolved. In 1968 Shirley married Dennis Harding and moved to Nebraska, eventually settling in Chadron. From this union two children were born, Shawn and Nic. She worked and raised her family in Chadron until her death. Shirley loved to shop and you always would see her dressed to the hilt. She also enjoyed dancing and time with her family. She is preceded in death by both her parents, two brothers, one sister, and son Mike. Shirley is survived by her significant other Jay Bradt; son Shawn Harding; Daughters Audrey (Tom) Hoerler, Rebecca Martin, Nichole (Tye) Pourier; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great grand-children.
