Sandra Perkins

Sandra June (Brice) Perkins, 64, of Hay Springs, Nebraska died Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at her home. She was born on June 25, 1951 to Gene and Bonnie Brice. She attended K-12 in Hay Springs. After graduating in 1969, Sandra attended Beauty School in Alliance, Nebraska, where she received her cosmetology license and met her future husband Dave Perkins. Sandra Married Dave Perkins on June 24, 1972. To this union 3 children were born: Jason, Justin, and Jennifer. Sandra went back to school to earn her LPN license in 1989. She went to work for Pioneer Manor Nursing Home. She became a member of the State LPN Association. In 2005 she got her Administration License. She was an administrator in Crawford and Hay Springs. Sandra enjoyed her kids and grandkids activities, traveling with Dave, sewing, quilting, decorating for holidays and taking care of her family. Survivors include her loving husband of 43 years, Dave Perkins; Son Jason (Windy) of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; Justin (Shannon) of Rapid City, South Dakota; Jennifer (Curt) Ward of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; and grandchildren: Jared, Shazlyn, Jayden, Isaac, Kyra, and Jay. Father Gene Brice of Hay Springs, Nebraska; Brothers Lyle (Trudy) of Sheridan, Wyoming; Rick (Donna) of Chadron, Nebraska; and sister Donna (Bob) of Hay Springs, Nebraska. Along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceding her in death was her mother Bonnie Brice. Services will be Monday, February 8, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Hay Springs, Nebraska. Burial will be at the Hay Springs City Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Hay Springs Christmas Lights Foundation. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain-Drabbels Mortuary, PO Box 443, Hay Springs, NE 69347.�½�½
