Memorial services for Russ Rudloff of Crawford will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the Crawford City Cemetery at 10:00 AM with Dr. Russ Seger officiating.
Russ passed away on October 15, 2016 at his home in Crawford at the age of 55.
Russ was born on May 15, 1961 in Crawford, Nebraska, to Herman and Susie Rudloff. He was the youngest of seven children. He grew up on the family farm near Whitney, Nebraska and went to the Whitney School from 1st through 8th grade. He then graduated from Crawford High School. Though small in stature, Russ was quite the wrester. He wrestled starting at a young age and on into high school.
As a young boy, Russ spent his time playing with toy tractors and farm machinery. His brothers and his had a whole farm set up under the apple trees. He would even play dolls with his sister. He took a liking to bicycles. Russ went over many jumps, most kept getting higher. One of his more memorable jumps, his front when came off, causing him to have a rough landing. He then moved on to street bikes; making one of his bicycles into a chopper. In his adult years, he loved and owned Harleys.
In life, Russ worked hard at many different jobs. He liked being a mechanic the best and worked on many cars up to tractors. He liked fixing up older cars. Russ could fix anything he put a wrench to. He was talented with his hands and could take things other people thought as junk and turn it into something. He made a garden cultivator to pull behind the lawn mower, and a two story dog house with a circular staircase.
Russ didn't need to tell anyone his address because everyone in the country knew where the "Flag house" was. He was very proud of it.
He met the love of his life, Fayda Weaver. Together they spent the last few years laughing and loving life. Fayda was by his side from the moment they met. She was also by his side at the time of his death. He will be forever in the hearts of the ones who love him and always be the littlest brother.
