Robert Alcorn

Robert passed away on September 27, 2014 at home with family by his side after battling cancer. Robert was born to James Guy and Lelia (Johnson) Alcorn on December 22, 1933 in Alliance, Nebraska. He attended Glen school 8 years and graduated from Hay Springs High School in 1951. He farmed with his dad until he joined the service in November 1954 through 1956 when he returned to farming. Robert married Joyce Lembrich on February 28, 1960. To this union two children were born, Marvin Derald on June 15, 1962 and Guylia Kay on January 15, 1965. He sang in the United Methodist Choir 6 years, was Sunday School Superintendent at New Hope Friends Church many years. Robert was always ready to help when anything at church needed done. He served on Sandridge school board and Farm Bureau Board. He enjoyed wood working with his daughter Guylia. His survivors include his wife Joyce; Son, Marvin of Austin, TX; Son-in-law, John Hahn; grandchildren, Jake (Adrienne) Hahn and their children James, Carter, and Claire; Jessi (Ryan) Mackey and their children Brooklyn and Conlan; Jenni (Dan) Anderson and their son Grady; Daughters-in-love, Cheri Schrack and her children Dane and Shaela (Jeff) Osboe and their son Blake; Lisa (Tim) Jamison and their children Kaylee, Tyrell (Brooke), and Hannah; grandchildren-of-love, Michaela (Steve) Bouldin and their children Nathan, Joshua, Matthew, and Levi; Brother-in-law Derald Lembrich of Lincoln, NE; nieces, Elnor Hucke, Phyllis (Dave) Briggs, Candis (Bill) Emanuel, Tina Clough, Jean Grant, Susan (Brad) Sauder, Donna (Richard) McKay, Nancy (Greg) Hill; Nephews, Curtis (Doris) Ginn, Tim Lembrich, and many cousins. He was a fill in grandpa with love to many children. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Guylia Kay Alcorn Hahn and many cousins. A memorial has been established for the Evangelical Friends Mission, the Chadron Hospice, or Global Partners.
