Peggy Louden

Peggy Marie Louden was born in Gordon, Nebraska, on June 5, 1947, to Ethel (Hicks) and Quincy Louden. Peggy passed away on April 21, 2023, at Rapid City, South Dakota. She grew up on the family farm west of Martin, SD, with her siblings, Garry, Betty, and Susan.

Peggy graduated from Bennett County High School in 1967. While she was in Martin, she was an active member of the community action team for many years. During family reunions you could find everyone fighting over her chocolate cake with brown sugar frosting. Besides baking, Peggy loved playing cards with family and friends, embroidering towels, doing puzzles, and word searches.

Peggy’s life will forever be cherished by her brother Garry Louden, sisters Susan Sigman and Betty Judd; nieces Debbie Cano, Tina Sigman, Julia Judd, and Elaine Judd; nephew Dean Sigman and many great nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her mother Ethel Louden and her father Quincy Louden.

Graveside services will be held Friday April 28, 2023, 10:00am at the Martin Community Cemetery. Bennett County Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
