Memorial services for Mavis Ann Gottwald will be held June 5, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron with Pastor Teri Lucas officiating. A private burial will take place in Spearfish, South Dakota at a later date. Cremation has taken place there will be no visitation. Mavis Ann Gottwald, 71, of Chadron, NE died Monday, June 1, 2015 at Chadron Community Hospital. She was born in Faulkton, SD on August 31, 1943 to Huston and Marie (Lenhoff) Frasier. She was the 11th of 12 children. At a young age the family moved to Spearfish, SD where she graduated from high school in 1962. On June 2, 1962 she married Leo Gottwald in Spearfish. They had four children. She retired in 2014, after 35 years of rural mail delivery out of the Chadron Post Office. She really enjoyed quilting, gardening, and nature especially bird watching, having placed numerous blue-bird houses around her mail route over the years. Survivors include her children Sheila (Dave) Rosno of Beatrice, NE; Patti (Rick) Wobig of Hemingford, NE; Leonard (Stephanie) Gottwald of Hastings, NE; and Pam Aguallo of Amherst, NE. Grandchildren David (Kim) Wallin, Amanda (Andrew) Shepard, Matthew Wallin, Austin and Riley Wobig, Isabel Aguallo and Andrew and Benjamin Gottwald; Great grandchildren Katelynne and Rex Allen; Brothers Duane, Robert, and Lyle Frasier; Sisters Doris Myers, Margaret Gottwald, and Kathryn Tiensvold; Special Friend Nick Bogner and her children's father Leo Gottwald. Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Melvin, Arnold, Jerold, and James Frasier and Sister, Rosella Hirchert. In lieu of flowers memorials will be divided between nature and conservation charities. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, PO Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.�½�½
