Linda Susan Fellows Wineteer
April 6, 1946 - September 11, 2017 (71 years)
Linda was born in Chesterfield, Maryland on April 6, 1946 to Richard Fellows and Emeline Scott Fellows. She grew up in Betterton, Maryland with her brother Richard "Dickie" Fellows. Her father passed away when Linda was a young girl. Linda always had stories of how her father worked as a plumber and never discriminated against anyone. Linda also shared many stories of going "crabbing" as a young girl. It was her dream to visit Maryland one more time.
She attended college at Hirem Scott College in Scottsbluff, Nebraska and that is where she met the love of her life, Ron. Ron was teaching in Gering. Linda and Ron were married October 10, 1969. From Gering, they moved to Minot, North Dakota where Linda worked as a secretary for a law firm and also at a bank.
In 1992, Linda and Ron moved from Minot to Chadron. Linda worked at Chadron State College as a secretary in the Fine Arts Department until her retirement.
Linda did not know a stranger. She was a friend to everyone.
Linda had many passions in her life, the number one passion was Ron. She devoted her whole life to making sure Ron had lots of chocolate baked goodies to keep him nourished, making sure he had his to-do list, and making sure that he was happy.
Her second passion was for animals. Linda and Ron's four legged children were the highlight to their days when they would come home from work. They were happily greeted throughout the years by Whoopers, Maggie, Maxie and Biskit. It was Linda's choice that her some of her memorial funds go to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.
And, we cannot forget her love for the Colorado Rockies. If you did not know, she even had her Rockies room set up where she watched or listened to all of the games. Now Linda is in heaven cheering on those Rockies.
It is hard to limit Linda's passions. She was such a happy person and everything made her happy. She had a love for reading, listening to music, and volunteering in the community and at church.
Linda was predeceased by her parents. Linda is survived by her husband, Ron; brother Richard "Dickie" Fellows; brothers-in-law Larry Wineteer and Rick (Cindy) Wineteer and sister-in-law, Karen (Steve) Liebentritt; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; and many, many friends. Memorials have been established for the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and Chadron Immanuel Lutheran Church.
