Larry Schott

Larry Schott, a life-long resident of Chadron NE, died unexpectedly on November 28, 2015 at the age of 62. Larry is survived by his mother; his children, Jerrod, Brianna, Justin and Matthew Schott. He is survived by his siblings, Yvonnia Schott, Loveland CO; Garry and Les Schott, Fort Collins CO; Tarry Schott, Blaine MN. He had 12 Grandchildren. His nieces, Vanessa Boyd, Thornton CO; Hannah Schott, and nephew Daniel Schott, Blaine MN. Friend of the family, Sheila Motz. His two cats Shady and Lady. He is preceded in death by his father, Don Schott. Larry was born in Crawford, NE, September 19, 1953 to June and Don Schott. He graduated from Chadron High School in 1973. In 1975-1979 he served in the Army as a member of the First Airborne. He enjoyed playing softball and basketball on several community leagues. Larry enjoyed helping others; he volunteered at Bread Basket weakly, he would often visit nursing home residents and helped many residents repair vehicles. He was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker Fan, along with the Pittsburgh Steelers. A passion of Larry's was writing cards and letters to his siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephew and friends. He never "passed the buck "with missing birthdays, he always sent a card. His friends and family will be sending him love from their hearts now. �½�½A memorial has been established for the Bread Basket.
