Jacque Strong

Jacqueline Strong, 73, of Gordon, Nebraska, died May 18, 2018, at her home. She was born to Bernice Mable and Chester Rizzo in Waterloo, Iowa.

Jacque graduated from Alhambra High School in California and then went to Hastings College to become a dental lab technician. She married Dean Strong on July 3, 1995. They were married for 22 years before Dean passed away in January of 2018.

She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, reading, fishing and camping. She also enjoyed thrifting, going to yard sales and junk jaunts. Her cherished time was when she was with her family and friends. Jacque was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Gordon Quilt Club.

She is survived by her daughters Toni McDonough, Michelle (Donnie) Myers, Stacy (Wallace) Wohlers, grandchildren Joseph (Caitlin) Servin, Johnna Servin, Katherine (Omar) Marxelly, Benjamin Criss, Bethany Myers and Jordon Myers, great grandchildren Wyatt Planansky, Addelyn Planansky, Ella Myers and Isaac Myers.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday May 26, 2018, 10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church, Gordon, NE with Reverend Al Trucano and Pastor Omar Marxelly officiating. Burial will be held in the Gordon Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, May 25, from 5 to 7pm at the Chamberlain-Pier Funeral Home.
