Hope Fankhauser

Hope L. Fankhauser, 87, of Gordon, NE, passed away Saturday May 19, 2018, at the Gordon Memorial Hospital. She was born January 10, 1931 to Tug and Josephine Palmer.

On November 14, 1958 she married Glen Fankhauser. The couple lived in the family house outside of Clinton, Nebraska, and to this union two sons were born.

Hope was a member of the Gordon American Legion Auxiliary, where she worked for many years. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, gardening and watching Nebraska Football.

She was preceded in death by her husband Glen Fankhauser; parents Tug and Josephine Palmer; son Ronald Fankhauser; brothers Theodore, Jim, Donald, Kenneth, Gary and Jackie; sisters Helen Curry, Shirley Musfelt and Virginia Harris Hugen.

Her survivors include her son Mike Fankhauser of Rushville, NE; grandchildren Ashlee Anderson of Bridgeport, NE, and Michaela Fankhauser of Rushville, NE, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial has been established and donations may be sent in care of Chamberlain-Pier Funeral Home, PO Box 366, Gordon, NE 69343.
