Chadron area restaurateur Georgte Grosh, died June 8, 2016 at Crestview Care Center.
He was born August 14, 1933 in Kearney, NE to Charles Albert Grosh and Carolyn Holdeman Grosh. George graduated from Kearney High School and managed the bus depot cafe at North Platte before moving to Chadron to open the Chuck Wagon in 1958.
He had many ideas, took risks and worked hard to make several restaurants and a motel and convenience store succeed. In 50 years of business, George fed and employed many people. At one time, Chuck Wagon Fine Foods employed 90 people. George loved Western Nebraska.
He is survived by wife Patricia, daughter Christine (David Pitts), sons Steve (Carla) and Ken (Dale), grandchildren: Kelli (Shane Stevens), Jo, Caite, Shane, and Shelby Grosh, Helen (Tony Wheeler) and Nora Pitts.
