Gary R Walcott passed away on October 30, 2016 in Monroe, Washington where he has lived for many years. Gary was born on July 11, 1931 to Richard and Gwen (Connell) Walcott in Whitney, Nebraska. He was raised and attended primary school in Whitney. At the age of 16 Gary enlisted in the Army and was later recognized as a "Veteran of Underage" and attended annual reunions all over the United States with other underage veterans. After Gary's discharge from the Army he joined the Merchant Marines where he served as a Ships Pilot until he retired in 1991. Gary was also a paratrooper and an airplane pilot. He parachuted in the United States, Russia, Israel and Slovakia. Throughout his life Gary traveled the world; he had many interesting memories and loved to tell stories and share his pictures.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; Richard and Gwen (Connell) Walcott, Sister; Carolyn Bickford and brothers; Gordon Walcott and Gene Walcott. He is survived by a son, Rodney Miller of Crocket Texas along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews
