Edith Howe

EDITH LORRAINE HOWE The Lord has called one of his angels on earth back to Heaven. On October 23, 2014, Edith Lorraine Howe passed away peacefully at Hospice of the Hills, in Rapid City, South Dakota. Edith was born December 17, 1923, at her family home near Vetal, South Dakota. Edith was a homemaker, active in the church and community, an expert baker and was devoted to her family. Edith was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Louis and Sonny, sisters Babe and Stella, son August, husband Vern, daughter Sandi and husband Ross. She is survived by her brother Wayne Livermont, son Chuck, daughter Judy, grandchildren Michelle, Mike, Owen, and Whitney, great-grandchildren Kayla, Wyatt, Isabella and Remy and several nieces and nephews. Services were held Monday October 27, 2014, at the American Legion in Martin, SD. Burial was held in the Martin Community Cemetery. A memorial has been established for St. Katharine's Episcopal Church in Edith's name. Donations may be sent in care of Security First Bank, PO Box 669, Martin, SD, 57551. Bennett County Funeral Services were in charge of arrangements
