Dugald Richardson

Dugald (Dugie) died Sunday September 28, 2014 at Scottsbluff Regional Hospital. He was born September 4, 1937 in Alliance, NE to Mary Barbara Richardson. He became a farmer/rancher at the age of 3 when he milked his first cow. He attended district 89 in Dawes county and graduated Chadron High in 1956. He spent his life working the livestock and family farm while running their sawmill with his brother Don. He enjoyed competing in the lumberjack contests in Crawford and helping his nieces and nephews with 4H livestock that were always taken from his ranch. He also enjoyed playing cards, a good piece of pie at the sale barns and was an avid sports fan. He married Almetta Wohlers on August 3, 1997. They lived on the Wohlers ranch until present day. Dugald is survived by his wife Almetta; brother Don, (Hemingford); nephew Frank (Marietta) Crawford; niece Fauniel (Charlie) Omaha; great nieces and nephews Jackie Weihrauch (Brian) Denver, Ty Huss (Christina) Colorado Springs, Jacy Koerber, Omaha, Wendy Richardson, Chadron, Riley Richardson, Whitney, Jessie Wasserburger, Denver; 6 Great nieces and nephews, stepchildren Terrie Youngberg, Vale, SD, Wallace Wohlors, Crawford, Christina (Justin) Moody, Rapid City and 5 step grandchildren. Psalm 30 4-5 Sing to The Lord, you saints of his praise, his holy name! For his anger lasts only a moment But his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping May remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning! Dugald had a heart of gold and will be missed by all. A memorial has been established for the Crawford Fire and Rescue Department.
