Funeral services for Dave Nixon will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron, Nebraska with Reverend ‘Tunde Oladimeji officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Greenwood Cemetery in Chadron, Nebraska

Dave Eugene Nixon was born on September 19, 1955 to Eugene and Xenile (Wineteer) Nixon. Dave graduated from Chadron High School. After school, Dave joined the United States Army. After his time there he lived in Hot Springs, South Dakota and then moved to Red Lodge, Montana.

Dave is survived by his mother Xenile, sister Gloria Sweeney of Chadron, Maxine (Tom) Golka of Bertrand, Nebraska, Billie (Wyland) Schenk of Bridger, Montana, 7 nephews, 2 nieces, 7 great-nephews, 3 great-nieces, and one great-great niece. Aunts, Uncles, and many Cousins.

He follows in death his father Gene Nixon, brothers Michael and Eric Nixon, Niece Brenna, Lisa, and Laci; grandparents John and Bessie Nixon and Howard and Ada Wineteer.

He was a loving son and brother and will be greatly missed.

A memorial has been established for the Chadron Volunteer Fire Department. Donations can be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, PO Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.
