Five Foot two, Eyes of Blue
Anna Mae McCoy was born January 23, 1929 the first child of Marion K. and Lela (Glendy) McCoy, in Crawford, Nebraska.
Anna Mae married the love of her life George Tollman on August 1, 1947 when he returned from the service in World War II. To this union five children were born: Michael Rex, Lela "Diane", Linda Josephine, George "James", and Tamara Kay. They lived in Chadron and Crawford until George was killed in a construction accident on May 1, 1970.
Years later Anna Mae married Bob Reece, a longtime friend. Before Bob passed away they spent several years living and working in the wilderness areas of the Teton Mountains. Anna Mae loved the beautiful mountains and streams of the Tetons.
She was an avid fisherman, something she was passionate about until her death. Some of her happiest and most peaceful times were spent fishing with her brothers and sister.
Anna Mae is survived by three siblings: Laverne (Jo) McCoy, Gerald (Lois) McCoy, and Lee Taylor (Dan Wood). She leaves to mourn her passing Michael Rex (Kathy) Tollman, Lela "Diane" (Don) Rosentraitor, Linda Pettipiece, George "James" (Susan) Tollman, and Tamara Rigs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Jerry Beman, brother-in-law Chuck Taylor, sister-in-law Jody McCoy, and son-in-law Larry Pettipiece.
Anna Mae passed on her talent for music and art and her love of the ocean, mountains and beautiful Buttes of the Panhandle to her ten grandchildren and her many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
At her request there will be no funeral service. A memorial will be held later for close friends and family.
